Project Cycle - What can you expect?

1. Contact us

The first step is to send us an email to detailing your needs to us. All material is dealt with in complete confidence. If possible, we like to receive a copy of the product and any additional documentation (development specs, use cases, old manuals). This allows us to better assess exactly what is required.

 

2. Assess

We assess the project as soon as we receive the material. This process will take 1-5 days, depending on how extensive the project will be. We will then supply you with a draft quote, schedule, and complete list of deliverables. Usually this will include an outline of the manual/online help for review.

 

3. Hire

Once the quote, schedule, and list of deliverables has been finalized, it is time for you to make a decision whether to hire us or not. There is no cost up to this point - the quote is free. If you decide to hire us, work can begin.

 

4. Work

You will be given a particular technical writer to liaise with throughout the project. We also require a contact person at your end for all queries.

 

5. Review

Periodically we will send you sections of the documentation to make sure everything is technically correct and that the "look and feel" is to your satisfaction.

6. Finish

Once the final draft has been submitted and approved, finishing formatting will be applied and the finished product will be delivered. When you are satisfied with the product, we have done our job. Precision Documents will submit an invoice for work completed, minus any installments made earlier in the project.
